About the Course

Companies seeking to capture value in complex and uncertain environments are embracing business analytics to drive decision making. Business analytics is the process of developing an analytical model, identifying required data, and selecting the appropriate analytics method.

Course Description

Business analytics is a practitioner-based discipline for realizing value via structured, data-driven decision making. The proliferation of powerful tools for managing and interrogating data combined with the expansion of raw computing power has ushered in an age of competitive business value creation through in-depth data analysis. Understanding the basic business analytics process is a crucial skill for decision-making stakeholders.

In this course, using the example of a fictitious company, ABC Bank, you will explore the implementation of key business analytics concepts and methods. Taking a practical organizational perspective, you will derive an analytical model for a business problem, and derive a data model based on the scope of the analytical model. Finally, you will evaluate and choose an appropriate analytical method.
