Supply chain planning helps companies manage their supply chains. With supply chain planning as their common planning process, companies can plan and execute—across all entities within the supply chain—at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels.

Course Description

This course describes a typical supply chain and provides an overview of the entire supply chain planning process. The course exposes participants to the supply chain planning environment and to basic concepts and terminology used in demand planning, production planning, and supply planning. The course discusses how to manage a supply chain, explains why planning is necessary, explains the interdependence of plans and planners, and provides insight into how effective supply chain planning processes can increase shareholder value.
