About the Course

Identifying how to achieve significant cost advantages and improved operations from shared services through applying procurement and supply management techniques can help your company lower costs and streamline operations.

Course Description

Shared services accounts for over 30% of the total spend of an organization, and historically, they have not been the responsibility of the procurement and supply (P&S) management team. In recent years, however, the P&S management team has expanded its scope of activity. Organizations have been discovering savings and other forms of value capture by applying the successful approaches of procurement and supply management to these purchases.

The course will cover the process for procuring shared services, including the plan and the process for preparing the scope of shared services. It also covers how to manage shared services by defining the terms and conditions of the service level agreement (SLA) and defining supplier performance measures.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Define shared services.
  • Outline the plan for buying shared services.
